Goodbye Burlap and Mason Jars!

With the start of a new year CHEERS is saying out with the old and in with the new, and one trend in particular that we are saying bye to is  burlap and mason jars. Not that we don’t love it, but we are ready to see new trends emerge with the new year and have brides choose décor that  is fresh and exciting.

If you still want the vintage feel to your wedding there are many alternatives to using burlap. Some examples of alternatives to burlap are ribbon, lace, doilies and even paper. The images below show how weddings can still be vintage without using burlap.

Although burlap does add a nice rustic tone to a wedding, it is overdone. Come on brides, let your creativity shine and show your guests that your wedding is new, original, and something that defines you and your style. With that being said lets now go to mason jars. These jars are seen everywhere in the wedding circuit and it is about time that they start fading. Some of our favorite alternatives to using mason jars are mercury vase glasses, etched crystal vases, vintage colored vases, tall column vases, and oil lamps (vintage or Moroccan). All of these alternatives will wow your guests and show your ingenuity.

With these tips your wedding will show your guests something besides the cookie cutter wedding and that you are aren’t afraid to try new things and stand out.
